What is Telehealth?
Telehealth Saskatchewan uses technology to link patients to health care from a distance.
Using secure videoconferencing equipment, Telehealth provides access to both specialized and general health care providers across the province.
Some areas of service that are regularly using Telehealth are Mental Health, Genetics, Oncology, Surgery, Nephrology, Respirology, Neurosurgery, Neurology, Rehab Services and Patient Education.
Access to specialists located out of province can also be arranged if that service is not offered in Saskatchewan.

I wanted to
express my sincere appreciation for setting up the Telehealth clinic for my mom regarding her cancer. This has been a very trying time for our family and it is reassuring to know that Saskatchewan is willing to leverage technology wherever possible to make it possible for people in rural areas to access health care.
