Offer the gift of your time in one of the following volunteer programs:

  • Parent Mentoring Program - provide an essential link between parents and the community (3-6 hours/week).
  • Pastoral Care - provide supportive spiritual care services to the elderly, ill and their families (visits, bible study, church services, hymn sings, communion).
  • First Responders - trained to provided "Basic Life Support Care" prior to ambulance arrival.  If interested call Mark Ollinger, Director Pre-hospital Emergency Care at 862-1086.
  • Youth Programs - students recruited to work in the community as well as with acute care patients and long term care residents (meals on wheels, adopt-a-grandparent, friendly visits, activities, etc.).
  • Gift Shops (in some facilities) - provide friendly service while staffing facility gift shops.
  • Meals on Wheels - deliver ready-made meals to clients in the community allowing them to remain independent longer.
  • Auxiliaries - contribute to various facilities in the region through fundraising and volunteer activities.
  • Drivers - provide transportation for the elderly and people with medical and health needs.
  • Activity Volunteers - assist with crafts, baking, games, shopping, friendly visits, errands, bringing in pets and other one-on-one activities.

Volunteers are an integral part of our organization.  They are a vital human resource that allows Kelsey Trail Health Region to accomplish our goals and ensures that our services are responsive to the needs of the client and the community they serve.
