Medical Social Work
Medical Social Workers provide services in the areas of acute care, long term care, emergency/outpatient department, home care, and palliative care. Support may also be provided for cancer patients receiving treatments at the local hospitals through the Community Oncology Program of Saskatchewan (COPS).
Long term care (specific to Parkland Place, Melfort and Chateau Providence, St. Brieux) - the Medical Social Worker acts as a resident/family advocate while providing support services to residents and their families.

Parent Mentoring Program of Saskatchewan
The Parent Mentoring Program of Saskatchewan (PMPS) is a volunteer based, mentoring program that provides assistance and support to persons who are pregnant or already parenting newborn to five year olds.
Parent participants are paired with volunteer mentors who are experienced parents and/or have skills that will enhance a parent's ability to effectively care for her/his children and self. Volunteer mentors serve as supportive friends and role models.

Population Health Promotion
Population Health Promotion is primarily responsible for assessing health promotion needs of the community, and coordinating, planning, implementing and evaluating programs which are directed towards population health promotion and disease prevention for the health region. The Health Educator will focus on decreasing substance use and supporting mental well being as part of Healthier Places to Live, Work and Play...A Population Health Promotion Strategy for Saskatchewan.

Non-Targeted KidsFirst
The Non-targeted KidsFirst is a regional program focusing on prevention and early intervention for children 0 - 5 years. Elements of the program are: the in-hospital birth screen, public education and community development. It is anticipated that the birth screen data will help to guide development in early childhood in the northeast.
